Landscape photography course

IMG_1047Two weeks ago I spent 9 hours on a landscape photography course around Guernsey. I only decided to do this course 2 days before as I was toying with the idea of just learning to use my camera myself and I did initually think this course was only based for people with SLR’s. Once I spoke to Jean Christophe he said my canon would be perfect for the course so I signed up.

Time flys

Wow I cannot believe its been 5 weeks since I left my old job. I am now settled into my new job and cannot believe I am into my 5th week.

Who would of thought that back in January I would even be somewhere totally different. In the past few weeks I have leant how to be a receptionist, how to do audio typing, formatting documents- although I think I will need to go on a word and powerpoint course soon.

Time has flown by and I cannot believe we will be desending into winter.

sunsetOver the past few weeks I have spent some time resizing my best photos for my blog. It took me a while to figure out how to re-size the photos using iphoto but after having a look on the web I found out how to do it.

You can have a look at my photos on the photos page on this blog.

Canon SX10

Just a quick note,  after spending quite alot of time debating which camera to go for I brought the canon powershot sx10. This camera so far proving worth the money I spent on it. I am still trying to figure out how to use it and have some fun at the same time.

I will be sure to write a more detailed review once I have used it for a longer period.

If you want to check out some of my photos have a look on flikr/hgallienne

First day of the new job

I have survived my first day at my new job. I was really nervous this morning and It was strange driving in the opposite direction. I spent most of the day on reception, answering a few calls, setting up a meeting room, and booking some flights, quite different to customer services. The people seem really nice and I think I am going to settle in well.

There is life after NRG….miss all my old work colleagues though and the banter!
